A Long Time From Now....
What do you think Earth will be like in 10,000 years (presuming it still exists and is inhabitable)? Here's a bit of Sci-Fi from a London evolutionary theorist: Human species 'may split in two'. Of course, it's nonsense, but it's still kind of fun to think about. I propose that the dominant species will be short, ugly, and incredibly intelligent, and that the subservient species will be tall, strong, and good-looking by today's standards, but very stupid. The trolls will use them as beasts of burden. Moo!

Evolutionary theorists tend to be quite imaginative, à la Carl Sagan.
I don't have time to think about such silliness, the real things get me crazy enough!
How about this: the sterilized habitat of the richer, smarter, more beautiful species eventually leads to them being wiped out by disease (naturally, the common cold), leaving behind the ugly, stupid ones who have become more resistant by constant exposure.
How did they come up with that theory? Did they like draw from a hat or something? I think in 10,000 years the earth won't be here. By then Jesus would have long come and gone.

Stupid theorists forget that by then technology would have advanced so far that altering the evolutionary process would be as easy as spreading peanut butter on a slice of bread.
Wasn't this done in Jules Verne's The Time Machine?
Hello, Darrell. I checked out your blog and Paul's but I'm afraid I can't comment until I'm looged in. Anyways, nice to hear from you.
