Finished watching the PBS special on Bob Dylan last night. Truthfully, I never thought he could sing or play the harmonica very well. But I was inspired by his story and his songs. I learned three things that encouraged me in my own musical endeavours:
1. You can invent a genre if there is none to suit you.
2. Songs about universal issues of life are worth more than wishy-washy love songs.
3. You only need to be good enough to play your own songs.
4. I am probably eccentric enough to be a rock star.
I gotta go work on my guitar skills now.
