Photos from the Bill Rice Ranch

At the Bill Rice Ranch, there are many horses.

Some are friendly.

Some are not.

This stallion was in a pen by himself.

Every ranch needs a rodeo...

...with lots of old signs.

I'm not really sure what this one means.

Watch out for snakes, especially if they stick their heads up, like this guy is.

Didja ride a horse?

No, I haven't ridden a horse. I was hoping maybe I could, but I'm not sure that'll happen this time.

Any idea what kind of snake I saw? I think it was a black rat snake or a black racer, about 3 feet long, solid black on top, solid white on the underside. It was on the sidewalk, but when I approached, it slithered into a puddle and stuck its head up (like so).
